E-Baraka Côte d’Ivoire

Every community or individual aspires to development and happiness, regardless of their current condition.
 But what exactly is development?

This question deserves to be asked in a world where we observe a race to build infrastructure, create large-scale enterprises, and showcase economic figures. It is time to question the purpose of producing all these material indicators.

Indeed, a simple analysis allows us to note that all these achievements and realizations are merely means, and that their ultimate purpose is the full flourishing of the human being. In other words, we must understand and internalize the fact that all activity is done—or should be done—with human at the center.

Any society that ignores or pretends to ignore this takes a shortcut that may destroy its future.

True development is that which develops human talents and capacities and involves people in every project, not only to contribute to solving the problems of their community but also to ensure their own self-reliance.

Any development program must also consider the well-being of future generations, hence the formulation of concepts such as sustainable development.

Furthermore, development means prioritizing models of production and consumption that are responsible and sustainable, avoiding waste and promoting approaches such as the circular economy.

Thus, in order to achieve this model of development that places human beings at the center, it appears important to address themes such as education and training, culture, food security, sustainable development, and the circular economy.

Moreover, we believe in the dynamics of partnership among organizations from several countries to meet all these challenges.
It is in this spirit that the idea of creating the non-governmental organization E-BARAKA Côte d’Ivoire was conceived.
